The seals on the driver's door and the right rear door of my S60 have been loose for years – maybe since 2019. They are loose on the underside of both doors and on the latch side of the rear door.
I asked the local Volvo dealer to try to stick them back. I don't know what they did. There is still some stickiness on the seals so maybe they cleaned the surface of the doors and pushed the seals back into contact. The dealer said if the seals come loose again, they will have to be replaced.
I'd rather not throw away the old seals if there is a way of affixing them to the doors. Is there a glue or similar preparation that can stick the existing seals back in place without damaging the paint ? Would double-sided sticky tape be OK ?
