I have been driving my 1990 Volvo 740 for the past 4 years & am considering selling it privately.
I was hoping to gauge an estimated valuation or any interest from Oz Volvo users before listing it?
It has been owned by the one family (my own) for 34 years now, with regular servicing & maintenance since purchased new. Initially by a Volvo dealership in NSW & now by GLT Car Centre in Capalaba QLD.
It has done around 350,000kms, however drives very well & with regular care, will likely continue to do so.
Some pieces of wear & tear;
- A slightly detached front bumper.
- Drivers side window goes up & down, but doesn't seal entirely (close to 95%, but wind does come through when driving on the highway).
- Air conditioning needs re-gassing & there is a slight leak in the hose (lasted around 3 months in summer when last re-gassed)
- Paint fade from sun damage on the bonnet.
- Slight cracking on the dash from sun damage.
- Sound system shorted & may need rewiring or new fuses.
I would appreciate any thoughts on valuation for selling it privately. Happy to field any interest here as well.
