Volvo model numbering - what does 19w46 mean ?

I've just noticed the Volvo Cars Australia web site when listing models uses numbering like S60 (19w17) and S60 (20w46).

What does 19w17 etc. mean ?

How can I find out which model my Volvo is ? I bought it in 2019. Does that mean it's a 2019 (18w46) ?

It's probably build year (19) and then build week (w17) there's lots of changes through year models usually have a vin split to differentiate

The build plate on my S60 says it was built in July 2019. So, that would make it a 19w17 ?

Looking at the lists on the Volvo web site, it seems that the number after the "w" is always a "17" or "46". Could that number be a release week ? I've attached an example model list.

it's all a bit confusing as the model list always has a year 1 year ahead of what's in the brackets e.g. 2020 (19w17)
