I've been with Shannons for over 20yrs but for the first time they were very difficult to deal with and kept trying to force me to just go with the O'Brien's screen.
I wanted genuine due to the sensor set up and qaulity of the glass.
I rang O'Brien's and asked for a qoute $962.
Ended up Shannons agreed pay for the genuine screen & kit $736 , I paid the $300 to fit.
I've since found Enthusiasts Motor Insurance , same agreed values ( 5 cars 2 bikes) , its $360 per year cheaper, but best of all their windscreen policy is very simple , you organise the new screen they will cover up to $1500 in costs to replace & install.
I'll be leaving Shannons unfortunately but their customer service after 24yrs is not acceptable after 7.5hrs on the phone over 2 days sorting it out.
I've lodged a formal complaint after the original screen qoute was $890 plus fitting and Shannons wanted me to pay $807.52 excess , so O'Brien's screen was worth $82.48 , figure that one out.
