Hi everyone, up for sale are my two Volvo. Reason for selling is I now have a new hobby in motorbikes and unfortunately I don't have much more time/space to spare. I am selling these as a package both unregistered without RWC's
Info on the blue one.
I've had the blue one for 4 years as my daily driver. It was purchased up in Rockhampton.
The good.
-The interior of this one is the standout point as it's in very good condition part from the small amount of wear over the last 30 years. -I've added a new head unit and speakers and a Sony amp and sub in the boot.
-The engine runs smoothly and quietly in the 4 years I have done just over 30,000k'.
-Minimal rust, see pictures for the only spots.
-New front windscreen
-Tinted windows
-Un-cracked taillights
-Straight bodywork
-Exhaust recently fixed
-Waterpump has been replaced
- New ignition cap and leads
- Replaced power steering pump as old one leaked
-Replaced the instrument cluster face panels -to new original ones(same odometer no cheeky business)
- Original emergency signs in boot
-Some spare parts such as interior panels, air intake, instrument cluster, original radio's, tow bar and some other bits and pieces
The fixable.
This car does need some love unfortunately. It will still be registered when you come to have a look so you can test drive it.
-Oil leaks around rocker cover
-Coolant leaks just from the hose pipes not pump.
-Overdrive has gone so it's only the 3 gears. Replaced the relay but that wasn't it. It's probably the solenoid on the gearbox. It happened about a year ago when driving home it just stopped working.
-Battery doesn't hold a charge most likely alternator. Will drive for a couple of weeks no problem but if you don't drive it for a week it won't have enough charge. Hasn't been a problem for me as I just drive 5mins to and from work most days so just every so often I re-charge the battery.
- odometer just stopped March this year on 240,00kms(nice). But I barely drive it so at most it's got an extra 10,000kms on it but more likely only an extra couple of thousand k's
- 2 small bits of surface level rust on door and hood previous owner put touch up paint on it but it's warn off and has just started to rust
- the only major bit of rust is on the back window near the boot, I sealed it up with silicone so no more water could get to it
-paint faded on roof and hood
I know it seems like a lot but I don't want to bullsh*t you guys, the car still drives great and is the perfect start for your 240 dreams to run wild.
Onto the white one
So I bought the white 240gl last year for the sole reason of doing a Manual swap and any other spare parts I needed. But immediately after buying it, I got my bike licence so it's been sitting in my garage completely untouched.
This one has the 4 speed manual with overdrive which seems in good condition. It has only has one owner and full log books(bought it off an old couple).
It's a whole car and it turns over but it doesn't run. I don't know the reason why I never looked into it properly needs a good service and new fuel to run.
This one has rust but the car isn't lost just yet it is definitely repairable. It has all of the optional dash gauges. The interior isn't actually too bad just needs a good clean out.
