SOLD!
Looks very good value for the ask.
Just do a manual swap, and it would be quite a good car after a bit of tidying up. (I have a manual pedal box somewhere in my stash of junk.....
Surprised no one has picked this up. Has anyone inspected?
you assume it is still available, many of the listings there are no longer valid.

According to the ad on the VCOV website, the price was dropped on the 13th of March - making it an even better deal for the ask.

No longer driving vehicle often as I have a new car. I don’t have a shed/space to store & maintain it. This vehicle is 45 years old. It drives well and has been very reliable. Regrettable sale. Hoping the vehicle can go to an enthusiast to maintain and/or restore it.

I tried.
I don’t think the seller is a bad person, but I am getting the strong impression that he’s expecting someone to thrust bundles of cash at him.
Possibly also some paranoia about being scammed maybe?
It’s been a battle to get any information from him.
For context, after demonstrating my credentials and finally getting him to take me somewhat seriously, I explained that I am not willing to spend 14+ hours in the car for a look.
I also explained I am willing to commit to it sight unseen, if I know what I am getting.
He (eventually) sent me some extra photos, but some of them are on google drive and Google won’t let me access them.. I sent him a message thanking him for the photos and explaining that I couldn’t access some of them, and asking if he had another way of getting them to me.
Maybe someone local will have better luck.

SOLD! Good to see another one rescued!
Spac now that it's made the 800 km journey back home, short term will just be to get it registered and clean it up a little and just enjoy it. Longer term, hopefully get in and rebuild it. Not going to rush anything though, I've wanted one of these for 20 years after having an 83 240GL as my first car.
