Hi all. FYI the Volvo Club of Victoria is organising the Volvo Clubs of Australia National Rally in Echuca-Moama in October 2024. Dates are the 25-28th October, 2024. OzVolvo folks are welcome. Many of you may already be members of one of the clubs that participate in Rolling Australia magazine, so you may already be aware. If you're interested in attending, please see the attached EOI info sheet and contact me via the email address (vcvmembershipsecretary@gmail.com) or phone and I will put you down on the EOI list and we'll email out further Rally information as it becomes available. Hello everyone who has expressed interest in attending the Volvo Clubs National Rally in Echuca-Moama, 25-28th October 2024. Planning is well underway. It should be a great event and we already have strong expressions of interest one year out.

When you receive your November/December Rolling Australia magazine, you'll find the attached 2-page update inside. Please have a look, and we recommend making a booking at your choice of accommodation as soon as possible to avoid missing out on your preferred location.

As more details become available, we will keep you all informed via the magazine and email.

Hello everyone who has expressed interest in attending the Volvo Clubs National Rally in Echuca-Moama, 25-28th October 2024.

9 months to go, and it is a GO! We have had a great response to the early Expression of Interest request.

We highly recommend making a booking at your choice of accommodation in Echuca as soon as possible to avoid missing out on your preferred location. Please advise fellow club members to do the same and register their EOI with us if they haven't already.

Event planning continues with the main organised functions confirmed. Local & day touring options are being investigated and details will be provided in future. Display Day judging criteria is being finalised and will be provided to everyone who wishes to have their car judged. There will be awards given in various classes (to be determined closer to the event based on the number of cars of each model attending) as well as People's Choice awards.

You’ll find the attached 2 page National Rally update in the January/February Rolling Australia magazine.

At this stage (pending sponsorship details), we intend to have the official Rally Entry Form as an insert in the March/April Rolling Australia magazine, and it will also be emailed out to everyone on the EOI list as soon as it is finalised.

Hello to everyone who has expressed interest in joining a large group of Volvo enthusiasts in Echuca-Moama on 25-28th October 2024.

Entry is now open for National Rally Participants. The entry/registration form will be inserted as a loose-leaf flyer in the March/April edition of Rolling Australia (for those OzVolvo members who are members of one of the clubs participating in the magazine), and I have also attached the flyer pages to this email if you wish to complete and return your entry form prior to receiving the magazine hard copy in mid-March.

We're asking for people to return the Entry Form (both pages) and pay the entry fees ASAP as we need firm numbers for planning purposes.

Note the rally entry fee includes the following items:

Rally Pack with commemorative medallion and other goodies
Friday night Welcome Function (grazing table & canapés at The American Hotel)
Sunday Display Day entry with the chance to win a trophy
Weekend event door prizes & give-aways
Monday Farewell Breakfast Buffet

We think this represents good value and is only possible due to anticipated support from our Rally sponsors.

This one is on a week before The Nationals in Canberra, and I'm still trying to sort out my ride.

The Barge? All booked.

The hotels? All booked.

The car..... uh, well, don't want that being booked (nor the driver!) but registration is needed. Which can't happen until a FOI request has a response.

National Rally entries close this week. Compromises may have to be made.

Major Ledfoot Yikes! Don't remind me. At least I don't have a car to get ready, but so much to organise…medallions, shirts, trophies, program booklet and rally bag are sorted. Just a lot of printing of name badges, judging sheets, voting forms, check-in lists for the functions etc. I'll be glad when it's all over as it's been a full-time job!
