The first event is in October. I personally think that getting a vehicle ready in that timeframe to perform that task and do it well is optimistic.
The other two I sent the email across to say 'no biggie'
These guys (like myself) have second and third jobs which require significant AH time commitment.
Finding a sub $1000 vehicle that'll realistically last 24 hours is no simple task either.
Though the purchase a vehicle is something to commit to later once we're sure that it is possible, both from a financial and time point of view.
3 of us had previously talked about karting enduro meets before, so we're keen to do 'something' together.
We'll do some real cost analysis this week and turn talk and discussion into a plan. If it's a good plan, we'll move forward. if its not, we'll focus on other things instead and give it a miss.
We'll do some more people based follow-up if the conversation yields a decent outcome.
I have a 92 245 that owes me $300
Has a strong running motor with squirters and (sadface ) an auto
Has no interior and a few dents to the exterior, its been asking to be raced since the day I got it
I'd happily part ways with it for the $300 it owes me to anyone....
Find an M45 conversion kit, add in a jeep LSD
add in some form of slightly bigger brakes and a falcon 27mm front bar (I have 4 I paid $12 each for) and the dam thing would probobly be commpetative and last 24 hours
Big thing is having a big 120amp 960 alt on the front with an efan
wheels are the most expensive things for it...
