Hi all, new here so thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm Matt, living in Melbourne. This is my daily drive, a 2008 V50 T5 AWD with the quite rare option of being a factory M66 manual too.
Purchased it off a seller in Newcastle last November, as a completely stock car. This is what it looked like before I got busy with mods:
Since then, I've done the following to it:
- Custom 3" exhaust including 200 cell high flow cat
- Do88 airbox and turbo intake pipe
- Airshark secondary cold air intake duct
- GFB DV+ diverter valve
- Do88 universal FMIC
- Custom remap by SV Motorsports in Clayton
- BC Racing V1 series coilovers
- 18x8" Koya SF05 wheels wrapped in 225/40R18 Michelin PS5's
- OEM R-design front strut brace
- OEM R-design front and rear bumpers
- Honeycomb mesh grille
- JRP 14-in-1 Multi gauge display (Boost, water & oil temp, AFR, IAT, speed and rev counter)
I've owned about 40-odd cars in the past and I can confidently say that this is the best all-rounder of them all. Super practical, genuinely quick, agile, grippy and unique. It goes nowhere other than Berry Motor Group in Mitcham for all maintenance items beyond the usual oil and filter changes which I do at home.
Next thing for this car? A built engine with some forged rods and either block mod or sleeve reinforcement, cams, and a bigger turbo. But all in good time 🙂
