WANTED: B23 short motor (rebuildable)

Hi All,
I am after a B23 short motor.
I am not specifically after a full short motor, but it would make it easier.
Really just after block, crank and sump with front and rear seal housings.
A harmonic, crank bolt, engine mounts, flywheel and fasteners. would be helpful.

It will become part of my 4valve NA build in my 122S. I already have the top end and a T5 gearbox and nearly everything I need for EFI.

Are you specifically after a B23 over a B230? Location?

Hi, I am in SA. can pickup from anywhere in greater Adelaide, or a fair bit of SA or any localish depot.

I am most specifically after an engine that is pre 1986. As far as I can tell there is only a tiny window of pre 86 b230s, if any, where a b23 basically guarantees it is pre 86.

The way I read the rules for engine swaps here is that if you install a powerplant that is '86 onwards it needs to maintain all of the original pollution gear and keep everything standard.

So, yes I am specifically after a b23 short motor for this project.

1985 models were B230E powered

1986- B230F

Tech note: B23E didn’t have a harmonic balancer (B230 was the first). E is leaded petrol as per the era.

Just exercising the memory banks:
242GT in 1979 was the first 2,300cc engine in Australia (B23E H cam). B23 K-Jet and flat flywheel ended in 1984.
