Stereo Upgrade?

Hi All,
Has anyone replaced the stock stereo?
My XC90 has Premium Sound single cd, no aux input.
I currently have a Parrot Bluetooth system installed. This system has worked well apart from when you are streaming music the reverse sensor warnings don't work. The controller has deteriorated and fallen apart. $230 for a new one.
I have seen a few vids on YouTube but would like to hear if someone can recommend a quality aftermarket system with steering wheel controls and reverse cam.

I've replaced a dead stereo in an XC90 with a faceplate to replace the standard stereo headunit section with a touch screen Android / Apple etc system. Bought the display from Strathfield Car Radio (Sydney) on their advice, believe it was a Sony unit. By the time I bought the stereo, faceplate and "plug and play" wiring loom (which needed modification to work as designed) it was upwards of $1000. Very neat install and very pleased with the professional performance (when compared to the cheap Chinese kits I've fitted later to the dashtop speaker grill area). My understanding is that you could add AUX in to the early system, then wire in a dashtop unit. Almost as good, but significantly cheaper.

Ive got a Mr12Volt CanBUS system adapter that gives full park sensor and steering controls functionality and it has BT as well as some RCA inputs for other add ons like a head unit or cameras or video screen integration etc.
I love the Sony ES 10.9" head unit , pure HIFI quality but with ES Series components , its the high end of car stereo gear for not much more. Please be wary of the XC90 forums pushing LEGEND Android units "made for XC90" , the guy started his own FB page to sell his Aliexpres bought units that can be had for a lot less direct from aliexpress....... .
The followers have blown out the benefits of the units in saying they integrate with the car and accessories yet when i looked the system up it was just a BT unit that plugs in to the AUX plug of the car......IT AINT CANBUS. PLUS , its Aliexpress product for USA or EU prices.....
Im not sure on HU for my XC90V8 , i love the Sony but am drawn to old Pioneer gear that is the grandfather of the Sony idea , full hifi esoteric component HU in single DIN , gold everywhere , pure copper chassis etc.....I already want a Samsunf tablet on a stalk , i dislike dash mounted large screens , i like to turn it to ME to see maps etc , i have screen , have Mr12Volt and a mount arm!
Its going to auto electrician very soon as i dispise working on cars nowadays.

Factory stereo and amp are dam solid for being factory
Biggest gain is
Adding a single 10" ported sub
Replacing tweeters
I'd not ever think to change anything else
At the same time you can be like me and go nuts and put $10k of stereo gear into a $2k getz... fuck it does sound nice....

True but the Dynaudio speakers are old, at least one of mine is blown and the common failure of the reciever is starting to happen.
I have a DAB seperate unit I can use if my new HU doesn't have it, add in booster and dab antenna and I'll be happy.

Great advice from all, thank you.
I will research the CanBus adapter and see what head units will fit my budget.
My Parrot remote has failed. Its hard to find a replacement with no support from Parrot.
I will check out some auto audio stores..
