There's an 1800E for sale in Caboolture that's tickling my interest.

Is somebody in that area who may be able to check it out for me?
Particularly under the car, in the areas that rust?

That car I saw on marketplace...it isn't in Caboolture at all, it's in Waterford...which is ten minutes from home.

I'll send him a message and see if I can take a look.

Turns out it's actually only 5 minutes from home, and I'm looking at it tomorrow after lunch.

Major Ledfoot I'll try to get some good photos and video for you.

I would love it myself, but there's more chance of me crossing the Pacific at the equator in a canoe made of ice than there is of me buying it...

Thanks - if it's in better shape than the one in my shed, I'll seriously consider buying it. My shed ornament needs a lot of body work.... which isn't uncommon for 1800s.

Major Ledfoot seems to be pretty solid.
The guy is an importer of classics from the USA... when I turned up there were at least 10 Tri-five Chevys there including at least 3 '57 coupes, an original unmodified 4 door '57 Bel Air with 287 and factories power glide, a '55 wagon, a '57 Nomad, '57 sedan delivery...not to mention the El Camino, Smoked and bandit Firebird, Dodge Viper, and many more...
He picked up the 1800 in Sacramento.
He replaced the injector hoses and it fired right up.
He has cut out and welded almost all of the rust that was in it. Missed a couple of small spots, but got the vast majority.
          Body seems quite solid.
Seats are in great nick, rest of the trim is a bit average, door cards are shot.
Has a full set of 5 alloys, needing refurb but serviceable.
I've got probably 30 plus photos and a 2 minute video, bit much to post here but if you can flick me an email address I'll send it all to you.
I've got his direct phone number too.
