N/A Custard Yellow 1982 244 GL. Manual, A/C, Towbar
I bought it from the 2nd owner in about 95, lent it to 2 people while I was overseas and claimed it back in 2009, so I'm the 3rd and 6th owner.
Got 504,000 on the clock. Never had the head off and still on its second clutch (thought that is getting towards end of life).
5x Virgos, all missing centre caps but in reasonable condition.
M46 & O/D in great condition.
New K-Jet injectors.
A/C compressor is ok, but expansion valve requires replacing (is leaking).
Warm up regulator is sticky, and the steering rack leaks *badly*
Interior is in pretty good nick, lower front door cards are water damaged internally but externally ok. Body has rust under the windscreen (don't they all), spare tyre well and spot rust in all the usual places. I'm letting it go because I just can't see myself getting the rust patched.
New odometer gear and re-faced dashboard in white & blue R-sport (dbarton).
New heater valve
New cooling hoses, expansion tank & cap
Have brand new parts sitting in a box waiting for someone keen :
- Clutch
- Sachs shocks (front and rear)
- Front end rubber bushes
- Ball joints
- One inner tie rod arm & boot (the other went on the car recently)
- New genuine windscreen rubber & associated clips
- New O/D interlock switch (current one is bypassed)
It's out of Rego, but does not actually lapse until early June (which means if I pay it up there is no need to take it over the pits).
$500 all up (yes it's probably over-priced, but see the last line).
I'd like to see it go to someone who will fix and treasure it. Failing that I'm going to donate it to the fire and emergency services for rescue training after I pull the motor and gearbox.
I have irrational sentimental attachment to this vehicle, so don't expect a rational response to offers under the asking price or wrecking parts.

Just out of curiosity word you sell the new parts that you have aside? If not that's understandable and if it doesn't sell and you donate to fore and emergency services I'd be interested in maybe grabbing a few interior parts, not much just a little. Thanks in advance, I'm also located in Perth SOR.
