Hi just wondering what peoples thoughts are on shoving my spare rb25 turbo on my 740 in place of the dying td05 12g wether or not its a good option they are both the same flanges to the manifold apart from the outlet pipe obviously the 740 is a 3 bolt flange and the skyline turbo is a 6 bolt so a bit of modifying is needed to be undertaken which i can do all myself.
Thanks

Could be done, but manifold will need to be machined flat and coolant/oil lines probably won't line up. Probably too much effort for not much gain, especially when you could buy a 16t or 19t that will fit a lot easier.

Main issue is the turbo isn't better flowing. You can get a t3 wastgate adaptor to suit also. The manifold flange will need to machined down to work with a t3. If you plan to go to a bigger turbo its a good step.

Alright thats fair enough oil and coolant lines arnt too bad i can get braided lines for it and i work for a turbocharging company but they wernt too sure on how it would go since they dont work too much on euro cars. so the td05 flange wont match the t3? Also heard a t3/t4 setup could work?

T3/t4 will work once you machine the manifold flat. Like I have done for @jay

Is your car running as a turbo yet though Calvin?
