Yep totally agree but can't ride mine anymore . It's back to standard now and selling it soon

2005 FJR1300, what weapon, in 2006 the NSW police got yamaha to have them factory biult as police bikes.

And no wonder, this thing was one of the best engineering motor cycle feates ever.

Handled like a race bike, braked like motogp bike and a top speed well past 255kph, that's as fast as I ever took it, sold it to buy a house.

I'd have another in a heart beat if it wasn't for that thing called ageing.

Always liked the FJR from afar , never hade a ride but bet they're an awesome bit of kit .

17 year old pulled out in front of me that was the end of that one in 2010 . Then got the silver one 3 years ago hoping i can still ride . Nope is the answer sadly .

Nice. Did you like the sound? Im debating between getting the 225mm or 350mm pipe for the CB. I dont like having an I4 that doesnt make any noise at all but dont want to be "that guy" with the super loud slow bike.

I had a CBR600 arrow can on mine and it sounded sweet

Had to get a race exhaust bike dude to cut and shut the factory exhaust though, it wasn't a slip on it was a full system and obviously CBR600 headers don't bolt up to a CB400

You had a 400 with the 600 can on it? Or a 600 with the arrow can? I'm confuse.

I saw the Yoshi headers and pipe set. Not a bad way to spend $1000.

On my 2nd XJR i got hold of a 2nd hand pair of delkevic pipes but this time cut them in half this time . Not toooo loud but with throttle off it does pop and bang nicely.

Hmm so I should just get the 225mm you say? With a baffle it should be fine I reckon.

Bike is in getting a new chain today. I feel a little strange letting someone else do it but I don't have the breaker tool and just wanted it done so I can get out riding again.

225 mm sounds pretty short , but i soppose with the baffles still in it should be ok sound wise . I always found with long cans you can always shorten them down to what length you like .

If anyone recalls and is reminiscing , there is a Honda CX500 on marketplace in northern VIC town for about 3K. Looks mint for its age. I just saw some talked about on a motorcycle page on book.

We had an 86 or 85 YZ 125 for awhile and the seat was like a big old futon. Most comfy MX bike seat ever. Now they are like knife edges up your ass crack. Bring back comfy seats I say!

Forgot how short they are so around the 225mm mark . Do like the look of a stubby

That looks like the one I'm thinking of getting. Thinking it surely can't be as loud as the Gas Gas 200 I have.
