57oln i picked up a n/a P2 S60 over Chrissy/new year with a B5244S. As its manual, black and the engine bay/undercarriage is immaculate I've decided to keep it over my V70. The issue comes that I miss boost which got me thinking about rebuilding the B5204T5 in the V70 and slipping it into the S60. The down side is its a 2.0L and a pain to do anything with due to them being rare. So it got me thinking about what I could get cheap to rebuild and slip in. I've seen a B6294T for sale with a reasonable price on it which needs a rebuild and thought this could be a fun candidate and something very different. The big question is will it fit the S60/V70 platform or is it too big hence only being a S80/XC90 option.

Vee_Que If you want to keep the wagon. Swap everything over to the wagon you want. But didn't know there were 2l turbo motors in 5 cylinder form. Why do you want one that needs a rebuild? Cheaper purchase price with a higher repair cost than a low km motor.
Ex850R As Alex says , so many xc70s with crap auto gearboxes out there some would be very low Ks , ideal for you?
57oln Rebuild thought process for two reasons, 1 I know it's right and get to experiment with various things. 2 I get some spanner time/excuse to go to the shed. Yeah 2.0 definitely came in 5 cylinder form, hence the B5204T5 I have. From what I can tell they were only sold in Ireland and Italy. I like different, hence the 2.0L 5cyl and now the thought of the 6 pot in a S60, but that looks like more trouble than it's worth if I have to modify rails. Also if I get a whole car I also have to have it sit around while I try and slowly part it and seen as I currently have 3 Volvos hanging around the wife is getting a little past the point of enjoying looking at them.
