Sure its not as awesome as a T5 but it'd be fast as fuck and chop most things on the road.

I would like to find a 2700rpm stall converter for it, the 2100 is uber boring off the lights, and the M1.8 computer is chippable (the Swedes do maps and stuff for even the old stuff)

Coupled with some 550cc injectors, a trutrac and a flebay fmic, this could be scary quick

Is 2100 an aus thing? The USA issued 30-40 stalled stupid high at full line pressure behind the tentacle wagon... like 2700 or something

I did have the low lift emissions cams that make torque way lower than the high lift high rpm cams do

Yup, the old ones had 2700rpm stall converters
Ill have to look at the numbers and see if we did actually get them, If not Im sure getting one from elsewhere wouldnt be too hard.

Im using Lankku's build as a bit of a template, His Evo 1 build, except id use:

B6284T block from a 1st gen S80 T6 thats sitting out the front feeding the local rodents with its hood lining
Stock T6 pistons
Max speeding rods
B6304 head and 204 HP cams
HE351
550cc Injectors

As for electronics, Id keep the M1.8 ECU and ETM, But use one of these tunes from sweden OR get the Ostrich to work with the ECU and have it mapped locally

Auto at the moment because it was already connected to the engine, Its also still auto because it's easy AF to drive and i miss my kitted AW71L that would chop left right and centre at the lights on 9 pound with the less desirable TD05 12b

Itll probably get a 6 speed Nissan CD009 gearox in the future, but it'll be a 3k minimum outlay to get that rolling, and the paperwork I have for it is for the auto.

Also thinking of putting some rubber mounts on instead of the poly, I think the poly would be better suited to a manual setup, where it isn't constantly buzzing away at the lights on converter load.

Barely kitted, its just easier than typing the word accumulator every single time.

Why not consider a Tremec TR6060? They have a removable bellhousing and shifter and will outlast a Nissan trans.

Probably a wiser idea to put the b230 in the bin and install something with twice the capacity. They both will get bad fuel economy but one will make more power :)

How are you finding it in your car? Im really aiming for something with a very high quality feeling shifter, nothing like the clunky old T5s

Drive a VE-VF V8 commodore and you'll get to know what they shift like. Pretty good actually, like there's a feeling of a real gearbox in the trans tunnel.

I think people just didn't try against your +t 240, it wasn't much quicker than a stock 740t.
