Progress has been slow, I have spent a lot of my down time during the Vic lockdown working on the S90 and Disco.
Made a friend on the Norwegian D24 pages that has been kind enough to send me a modified D24 NA intake for my own build.
Paid all up $200 bucks for the manifold and shipping which is insanely reasonable as sellers on Ebay and the likes wanted as much as $300 just for shipping.

I think this is going to be a bit of fun :D
I think Ill treat the 240 to the same sound dampening treatment the S90 has received in the past few months, From factory it isnt well dampened and I think it would go very well with the clattery old diesel - especially in the firewall & floor sections.
Old pic from 5 years ago when I changed the interior over to a charcoal coloured one:

You can see its pretty light-on for acoustic and thermal dampening, I always remembered the floor getting so damn hot near the tunnel and exhaust pathway under the RHS of the floor in this thing despite being pretty plain in the power department.
I have no quarrels going to the same extent with this car as I have with the S90, the added weight was about 25 kilos - but the gain in comfort and reduction in heat transmission through the floor was phenomenal.
The D24TIC and its eventual T5 will make more than enough enough noise to enjoy regardless of sound dampening, theres nothing enjoyable or fun about road noise permeation in a road-going street car.
