C30 front brakes

Hi there, I've got a 2009 C30 T5. Fantastic car. Love it. Only problem I've ever had has been the front brake rotors which were replaced twice when the car was under warranty. This was because of a shudder braking at high speed and I was told the rotors were warped. After the second time this happened I asked the dealer if there was an alternative fix but was told I was lucky to have the problem fixed at all.
Is this a known issue with the C30 and what is an alternative fix aside from just replacing the rotors again (only to have it reoccur again in a year or two)?

I wonder if they used genuine rotors?
Did they replace the pads? Are the pads genuine?
What sort of driving do you do , lots of city?

Who did your wheels? I hear the rotors are prone to warping if not torqued to spec. It is unfortunately common for bare rattlegun tightening at many tyre mobs.

Ahh yes!
The wheels hold the discs on!
They should be correctly bolted and torqued , not a great thing with a rattle gun and no care...

I'm in Sydney. Had the work done at a dealer. A very experienced dealer but I won't mention which one on a public forum. They do all my maintenance and I've had no other problems.
I didn't think to ask whether the pads and rotors were genuine. Didn't think of that as it happened with the original pads and rotors and then it was replaced under warranty so I assumed that it was all genuine, but I could be wrong there.
Even though I live in inner Sydney most of the driving I do is on toll roads and highway. Car has done about 50,000 and this is the 3rd set of brake rotors.
Is there any point getting the discs machined?
Can anyone recommend a good mechanic for this sort of problem?

Does the car sit outside for weeks at a time ever?
Are you near the water at all?

The metal volvo uses for the rotors is highly rust prone
This is fine normally when car is daily driven
If car is left to sit for a month once in a while it will form uneven rust over the rotors and you will easily get a bit of shudder

Swap the rotors out for brembos and don't look back
Or talk to ash about awesome upgrades
There are no dealers in Sydney with volvo techs with more then 15 years experience i am aware of
I would not call any of them highly experienced (personal opinion anyways)

Replaced or machined check your invoice, are they OEM parts if replaced not some junk shipped in?
