Now that I've sold my green 960 it's time to replace the shocks in my Gold 960 (1996).
I can get a set of KYB Excel-G Twin Tube Gas Shocks (front & rear) delivered for just over $200.
Are the KYBs any good? Does anyone have any experience with them?
EDIT:
Talked to ebay supplier and those KYB prices are for one shock not a pair, so looking at $400+.

Koni etc wouldnt cost that much more though?

Well I'm not trying to put in performance shocks just something equivalent to the standard ones. I don't want to make the suspension heavier in the 960 as I want a smooth, comfort ride in it.
There seems to be a Koni "special" but I can't find a source with prices.

Konis arent necessarily just performance shocks. Kyb are inferior to stock which are sach. Koni are slightly superior.

If you want to maintain ride then sach (oem)...check out eBay!

I always use Bilstein Touring when I want to retain the OE feel. I just have a great deal of faith in the Bilstein brand. Their B6/HD shocks are fantastic for the money.

That's a bargain! For the money the KYBs are fine IMO especially if going for stock. Quite smooth coming from flogged KYB AGX shocks even with poly bushes. I don't think you'll find Koni's anywhere that cheap unless it's the red OEM type
All this could mean jack tho since my experience was with the previous car, an MR2.

Twin tube gas should be pretty cruisey. Same basic design as Bilstein Tourings/Sachs.
