Hi Guys,
I am looking at getting an M66 (6-speed manual) shipped up from Vic (3805) to Brisbane (4152). I have zero experience shipping big things like this, however it seems like e-go might be the way to go.
The guy will try to build a little protective crate around it, but I am not sure how they would even collect it? Would it need a crane point? On a Pallet? Two guys can lift it, but i am sure Workplace Health and Safety would prevent that from happening...
Any idea on the logistics of how this works would be greatly appreciated, particulary if someone has used e-go. Also, any other companies would be appreciated too :-)
Thanks
Clinton
PS: Any idea on how much one of these would weigh? You cant exactly put them on a home scale, but I guess they want more than a guestimate too...

Ask Mark who he uses.
E Go can pick up for door to door.

So I bought it, seller is happy to help with shipping. Looks like an M66 conversion for my C70 is going to happen. :-) I will have to start a build thread sometime :-)
If anyone has S/V/C70 pedals (and/or other manual bits), please let me know!

Rob?
Mark?
Mike?
Seenthe VS thread on this?
Best way forward!
I hated the 5spd in my 855R..

I have seen a couple of VS threads on the M66 conversion, but the ones with FWD M66's are a bit scant on details. The AWD versions mount differently, so I am still a bit unsure what I will do with the gearbox mount...
I am getting the XR5 shifter linkage and cabling thrown in, so I will see if I can mod something together to get it going, but I am not counting on it...
Why did you hate your 5spd? I think I would have preferred one actually, it is just that there is so much choice with the M66's and they are much newer/cheaper.

My R hadn't done so many miles but had baulking in 2-3 shift and would jump out sometimes....Even with new R clutch.
The 1-2 ratio change was too high , they made it so to stop wheelspin , 1st to short , 2nd lost boost and was not good on tracks er I mean corners like the GO Road.....
The auto T5 s70 I had was heaps more fun on the GO Road.
I didn't get realise you are FWD!
Hadnt thought about the other hot Focus!

I had a M56, shifter, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, shifter cables and other associated bits shipped on half a skid from Adelaide to Tassie via e-go. Only cost about $100 and they had no issues with loading and unloading.
