GeorgiaXC60
Hello. We've just bought a 2011 XC 60 and are looking for a reputable service centre that's Volvo registered but not necessarily a dealer. Keen to get your advice on someone you trust for a good job at reasonable price. We live in Eastern Sydney but ok to travel. Thanks!

Only dealers in Australia have Vida around Sydney
Without Vida a place cant do software updates which can often be more important for vehicle life then oil changes
Keep servicing it with Volvo at least once a year until it turns 7 years old
Other servicing can be done anywhere, an oil change is an oil change

The only non-dealer place I know of around there is Precision Automotive in Mascot. They are probably the go-to people for Volvos < 10 years old, other than dealerships.
Just don't let them stick their stupid sticker on your rear window, they are annoying to remove.

I have had my 2004 V70R serviced at Precision Automotive as well as my 1995 850T5 that i sold a while ago.
I work in the city so no big deal for services etc
I have been happy for many years but my last impressions were left a little wanting.
The last time i had full rebuild of the transmission and a new angle gear replaced on the 2004 V70R after. After their diagnosis and work done it had a leak from the angle gear. A subsequent call and a photo that I sent to them via email they asked me to bring the car in again. They took the transmission and the angle gear out again and fixed the problem. No extra charge was incurred by me (only time and inconvenience)and they came to the party!!! All good now and 10,000km down the track
The guys are very good so maybe just one of those things that happen now and then but would recommend them.
I have also used Lupicia Motors at Moorebank and found then very good as well. Joe is very knowledge and will listen and take time to talk to you re your car. Not sure if he had VIDA but he is an Indie Volvo specialist. I have seen newer Volvo models being serviced there.
Cheers

I have used Precision in the past. They are expensive but they are probably the closest thing to a dealer other than a dealer themselves.
