  • some stuffs for my 89 245.

Hi all,
I just wanted to see what is available and prices for things, I'm after:

-Roof racks
-Basket sort of thing for roof racks
-Full manual conversion
-Exhaust, I need so opinions. Should I just get one made or source a sports exhaust or run stock?
-Other unique 240 parts

Kind regards
Elijah
I have a slightly rusty basket you can have for a 20. It is in Yass though.
Slightly rusty is what I want but I'm in s.e suburbs melbourne :( @egads‌
@bgpzfm142‌ is picking bumpers up from me soon and heading to Melbourne and might have enough room or a roof rack maybe? ?
I don't have a full manual conversion, but I can supply some of the parts eg: pedal box, clutch pipe and hose etc.

For the exhaust, there isn't much power to be gained there, I would either leave it stock, or if you do want to go to larger diameter pipe I'd recommend getting a 2.25" system made up by a competent exhaust place.

The sports exhausts available overseas aren't worth the money IMO, you can get a decent system made from scratch for less locally.
That would be awesome, if you could send a photo that would be awesome. @egads‌

I'll see what I can find as in box and stuff.

I needw exhaust though as my current one has a lot of holes and won't pass roadworthy.

Yeah and shipping things over is too expensive. @Angus242164‌
I have a 2.25" on my car. It has a nice note, and doesn't have the "4 cylinder drone" that most cars have these days.
I'd find a decent, local exhaust place who will build something for your vehicle. I'll be cheaper and likely a lot better fitting than any of the 'kit' exhaust systems that you'd get from OS.
2.5" is too big for stock-mild NA cars. 2.25" is ideal.
Next question anyone know a exhaust guy? :P
@A_Volvo_Driver‌ @AshDVS‌
I have two.
Both are Geelong based. not sure if thats an issue or not.

The guys that did the system for @A_Volvo_Driver‌ were good. They'll likely be closer for you.
The company I work for does exhausts, though I don't do the work myself, we have a dedicated exhaust fitter/welder. We're in Ballarat, we do good work, however we're not as cheap as some other exhaust workshops.

I've seen Scott's system when his car was over my pit and it's been very well fabricated, I'd be quite happy with it if it was on my car.

They were a good bunch of people to deal with, and seemed excited to put an exhaust on an uncommon car.
I got them to take out the centre resonator on the XC70 for me. They impressed me 'cause they wanted to see the problem before doing something that they thought could damage the car or be illegal. Once they saw it they were great.
