Sgeneroso Hey guys, I'm selling my 850R. See gumtree link below. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/hoppers-crossing/cars-vans-utes/volvo-850r/1066067368 Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Cheers Sol 0427374734
egads (she/her) Looks pretty solid for the price. What mods has it had? I can see the bar and the poly heater hoses what other goodies have been lavished on it? Good luck with the sale btw!
Sgeneroso Cheers mate. I haven't really done mods to it. It all came with it when I bought it. It also has a chip that was installed by VP tuning couple of years ago. Sad to sell but just have to at the moment...
AshDVS Hi Sol, to have as good a chance as possible to get what you want for it, I'd probably put some more detail in your ad. It'll help someone make a call whether they're prepared to pay for it or will simply think of it as a fairly ratty example and offer something like $1000 - $1500 type of money. With the details in the ad, I'd think of it as the latter. If I knew where the oil leak is coming from, had some details of the Ecu and could be sure it's had some decent maintenance (timing belt?), had pics of it clean, decent interior pics, decent pics of the wheels and the other R-spec bits and pieces, that'd likely be enough for me to make the call, if I was thinking about buying it.
Sgeneroso Hey guys, Saw and had a chat with Mark @iceton1975 last night about my 850r. He inspected my car and said that it's actually a pretty good car and its not as bad as everyone is saying. Just have to address the oil leak and other small things. Anyways, the car is no longer for sale and I'm keeping it and fixing her up! Pretty excited! Thanks again Mark! Cheers! Sol
CamZH No great surprise its not as bad as everyone said. There is a huge online community of people that work on 850's if you dont mind getting you're hands dirty there isnt much that can't be done in a drive way.
irishbastard Saw @Sgeneroso s 850R, very nice car, great paintwork, nice interior etc, just needs a few little bits and the rear main fixing which is no big deal, everything that needs fixing is general wear and tear, so all easy enough and worth fixing
AshDVS Rear main is the only 'biggie' then, and... even then, it's not really that much of a 'biggie' and is more annoying than it is difficult.
