[Wanted] R type exhaust manifold

Just looking for an r type exhaust manifold for a 5 cylinder

The later one from a 1999+ is the one?

There are 3 types of manifold.

Type 1 is standard on an early 850/X70 Turbo,T5,T5/R and R and is average,

Type 2 (aka Japanifold) started somewhere toward the end of the P80 X70 I believe, not sure exactly when, it is the type that is fitted to P2 cars i believe. It is a big improvement and is often preferred over the Type 3 as it helps retain the signature 5 cylinder noise we all like.

Type 3 is the S60R/S70R manifold from around 04 on. It is the best performance wise but is only marginally better than the japanifold.

Has been done before with some trickery with tube's but no bloody room really and you can get enough power with the S60R one for a fwd so no point :)

Fair point lol, they are not overly common here but if you look you can find them, usually go for around the 300 Aussie buck mark, don't know how much shipping would be.

I think I paid $400 odd for an R ,, 2000 model one back when I had an 855R wagon. Not cheap but rare.

This would be better than any of the other options!
As it says , the Volvo manifolds put a wall in front of the port in turning down 90° to give clearance so why bother with them at all?

Mike , are you importing these as well?

Would be good to see some pricing with them delivered here if you do a deal on them.
( any news on the radiators out of China? Ooooh , maybe have these manifolds made in China for cheaper????)

@rob found ond in sweden. Description says it's from a -99 v70r 270k km. cracks in manifold. I will keep an eye if open for more.

The external WG hole is no problem , just blank it off.
Much better design , WAY better!

Or , have it made in China? No doubt that's where it is from anyway....

I think it would be impossible to make it fit. Would be great in a RWD application

They make a version certified for awd when used with a gt30r or smaller
Just use the cosworth style hotside with it
