Are you saying 240 c/c *will* accelerate in small steps? So you just set a slightly lower speed, and can 'bump' it up to where you're happy? That's been my concern - that instead of setting it where you want, it always wants to set itself to something like 93 km/hr, or jump over to 104.
Which leads into another question...
On this page:
http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=288214 - the control unit he stuck on the dash has Set/Accelerate, and, Reset/Decelerate - on only 2 buttons. Does anyone know if this means the Acc/Dec functions of an aftermarket cruise control kit will work with the standard 240 stalk? (I was trying to think how to fit two small switches in a stalk to keep it looking original. But if that's not necessary - problem solved!)
So if I've understood Angus correctly - and you press and hold the button on the very end of the stalk to accelerate in small steps... then the accel function of an aftermarket c/c kit is covered, right? That only leaves the decelerate function. Would decel be covered by 'Resume'? I'm struggling to ask this in a clear way... What I mean is, does the 240 c/c stalk already have the correct wiring to support both accel & decel of an aftermarket cruise control kit?
