paul0075 I have to opportunity to get a 1985 244 for $300 in Sydney on Boxing Day. I usually don't buy things unseen, but apparently it's tidy, and has 247 000 km on it, with 6 months rego. Thoughts?
paul0075 Not at the moment. The big issue is just getting it from Sydney to a parking spot with dodgy alternator. Not sure if just regulator or whole alternator. Easy fix one way or the other, but still need to have the parts to do a roadside change on pick up or a trailer to get it. And it must be picked up before midday on Boxing Day.
Ex850R Don't buy it. I like to be different. Nowhere to park? No plans for it? Could cost an arm and leg if you don't fix things yourself. You then have costs to transfer owbership , spend the rego refund then have a rusting car sitting there There you go , the alternate viewpoint! You are welcome! L.
egads (she/her) Ooh, wait a sec. Paul as in Canberra type Paul. It can live on the street out the front of mine if you want? Anything to get you out of a rusty commode
paul0075 Yeah that's me. Thank you, sounds good. It's registered so it's not going to be an issue with parking infringements and the like. I will let you know if I need to do that.
paul0075 Looks like I am the new owner of a 1985 244. Just told the guy I am all systems go, after doing PPSR and RMS checks.
egads (she/her) I can lend you a few almost new batteries to get it home. Or if you can find a regulator I have an alternator that is fine except the reg.
