Just picked her up on Monday. Flew down in the morning to SA and drove her all the way home without any problems whatsoever. Luckily I had a friend close by to check her out and gave two thumbs up. TBH I was a bit disappointed when I missed out on Mark's 740s so I made a pretty quick move when she popped up on gumtree.
Couple of minor issues here and there, very very minor coolant leak from few places, belts are a bit noisy. I'll be taking my time going over the whole car top to bottom. For now I just need a daily until I've saved up for a manual swappy time.
Couple quick q's:
- Cabin smelt like petrol when I filled to the brim (stopped after one click). Fuel gauge also flicked back and forth. These problems went away after I drove about 70km.
- Recommended oil, coolant and tranny fluid? At 218xxx I assume 15W50, green Nulon (currently green) and ATF Dextron II or III?
- The light bulb warning light comes on when it's in the "O" position (off with parkers automatically on)
- Accelerator pedal seems very heavy like something is obstructing it
- What's everyone's milage for the 740 Turbo? I haven't driven to low but the needle was halfway at around 250km cruising at 100km/h
