Ex850R How did you go with the abs? The man in Melbz is a nice guy. If you are interested , ARD Design do an ECU fix to give you 4.4 on 850 so you benefit from a faster chip too and a nice power upgrade as well and its dirt cheap! Get an ECU off Lucky and keep yours , still cheap. L
K3FSAR Not had a chance to play with any of my cars for a few months. Actually have next week off my full time job, so I'll have some time to do a few things. My 360 is priority so that should be done, and 850 will be over late spring, summer period I guess. ARD tune does look the go once I get everything sorted. Surprised how cheap they are :)>-
Rob How much do you want to pay to get your abs fixed? There is an 850 wagon for sale that i am interested in buying for parts that has a freshly overhauled abs module, I am struggling to find enough bits that i want to take from it to warrant buying it but would be keen if someone else wanted to chip in for some other bits too. . There is also a towbar with wiring and everything. What is wrong with your interior light, i have a couple of them in various states of disrepair, perhaps i have enough bits to help you out.
K3FSAR I was more than happy to have another hack at fixing the module myself in due time. But to save me the hassle for the module around $75 would keep me happy. I don't want to step on @Inski 's toes either. Since he is getting a tow bar organised and interior light. If its the newer type tow bar with the square insert, I'll take it anyways even if I end up with two. Interior light, the main switch mounts are well and truly broken along with the contacts missing. So new switch along with base as well since it is well and truly smashed. I'll have a bit more of a think of what else I need and get back to you. Should hopefully bump it up enough to make buying it worth while.
K3FSAR Hell. Also been thinking of doing a contrasting interior. If the dash top is black I'll take that too along with the plastic strip between the windscreen and dash (mines cracked in 5-6 seperate locations). Along with speaker grills, vents and surrounds (thinking doing a high polish black surround and don't want to ruin the current veneer).
Rob i think the dash top in this one is dark grey, i dont know that i have ever seen a true black interior in an 850, I think the black interior ones are actually dark grey with black seats. I may also be completely wrong. I do have black speaker grilles and i want beige ones and would LOVE to track down a set of the veneer clad plastics as fitted to your car.. K3FSAR Yeah, quick search around the 'net and I am mistaken by the dash. Might still be interested in getting one anyway and see if I can dye it to a degree. More than happy to swap the speaker grills. Problem is with mine, both the front dash ones the foam underneath is shot and the front drivers door one is a bit..... Rusty. So they would need a bit of work. Veneer I am not too keen on getting rid of as I would still like the option down the road to return it to stock. Nor do I want to paint straight over the top. If you can understand that. Yours not have the sandy veneer already?
Rob Mine obviously had the veneer in its early life but it has been stripped and replaced with an aftermarket version of the veneer fitted to the black/grey interior cars. It is all a little messy for my liking. I didn't think you would be keen on getting rid of yours, in fact one of the items i am chasing from the parts car is the veneered plastics, despite being the wrong colour, they look to be in reasonable shape. When i got me car the 2 back door speaker grilles were missing, so they are actually the only 2 i need, i have also been toying with the idea of dying the carpets and lower parts of the doors black, if that were the case i would probably leave them black. Either way the parts car has the speaker covers on it and i have another car with a set, i assume they would be black but if not would be grey and could be painted pretty easy. The seller is asking $500 for the car, i have not yet tried to negotiate. I have organised with James that i could leave it with him for a couple of weeks until i come down and collect it. Once it gets to my place i can rip it to bits and distribute bits as required. What i am really looking for is one or more people that want enough parts that we could split the purchase in half/thirds. Its not the end of the world if no one is interested, i just cant justify the price of the car + the trip down to get it + the effort of pulling it to bits for the few parts i require.
K3FSAR Fair enoughs. Been doing a bit of research into the ABS/TRACS module, and looks like it won't fit my R anyways. No TRACS on the GLT? Correct me if I am wrong.
