even despite that, we'd still rather a higher car so we have that touch extra ground clearance when off-roading (we go camping which presents some interesting roads). Just dont want to ruin a sump/exhaust haha. Its not the AWD we care so much about (if mine ever dies... which it will cos its an 02... ill remove it and have a bum-dragger again), but the ground clearance is nice, plus mum likes being able to see a bit better.

Stay away from T6s they are crap, 2.5 are good make sure the AWD system works, 2003-5 don't pay any more than $7500

If we go an XC90 it would either be a T6 or a D5, now probably a D5.

Sure you can't sway her back to earlier? a 99 or 00 with a 4 speed is almost the same place to be as a driver and not far off looks wise.

We are seeing expensive repairs and failing on XC90s so think of your wallet at this time. failing in the 6 speed transmission, Yah sensor, Anti skid sensor, heavy on brakes, heavy on tyres, great on fuel, and safe

One head can mean a $4k cost.
Better an XC and fix the gearbox than those overpriced tractors.

Alright, x70 it is then haha. We're familiar with the 70's now so may as well keep it on that train. How about a V50? Were thinking possibly too low and possibly too small.

Yeah we dont like the Subarus that much. Im ashamed to admit I wanted one a year ago but then I met a guy that had a Volvo and now im hooked, Volvo's for life <3
