I am replacing an engine in a 2005 xc70, attempting to drop it on it's subframe, with suspension, steering, gearbox etc. ECU ?? Do I simply take out ECU's from the housing of the 'new' motor vehicle & keep the bases & wiring harnesses with the subframe - then plug in the 'old' existing ECU's into this then 'new' housing - - - if you get my drift !!! The ECU should belong to the body of the car ? yes??. Has anybody done this ? Thanks
