Dunno mate.
I'd say we have different definitions of what acceptable is.
The mini project is coming along though.
The wheels on it - HSVi 'Fluxus' 20x8 - are in need of some love. They all have scuffs and scapes, one has a bend and they're fitted with pretty ordinary rubber. My plan was to strip them, straighten, repair, refinish and fit decent rubber to them and refit.
I stumbled across some E1 HSV Senator wheels on ebay. They're 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 and are near perfect with reasonable Kumho tyres on them. I should have them in the next couple of days so will drive around on them for a while and then look at repairing the others.
The E1 Senator wheels are these -
While that's all been happening I've managed to find a VEII SV6 lower-dash panel for the drivers side. This panel is supposed to match the front door handle surrounds. My car now has VEII SV6 door trims (and door handle surrounds) so the lower dash panel didnt match them.
That came from a local wrecker and was from a 2011 VEII SV6
I replaced the cup holder with a new all black one (without the silver trim ring), replaced the dash trims with black ones (instead of silver) and fitted a new steering wheel with new black steering wheel garnishes.

I also had the rear seat base skin swapped but I'm very unhappy with the work done, so it's back to trying to get hold of a rear cloth seat from a VEII SV6 wagon.
I havent done any more on the bodywork stuff yet - I'm hoping I might be able to get it done for cost of materials alone. Just need to wait and see.
