egads (she/her)
Yup, looks like it should now.
Philia_Bear
personally would have stuck with the pleather and just put some seatcovers on it
AshDVS
Mine didn't have pleather though and busted seat side trims were a failure item on the RWC inspection.

Ahh.... now that I can see things properly...
The rental car I had came with leather seats with suade inserts... they were most awesome
AshDVS
I think the VF seats are much better actually, but I'm still not convinced Holden and Ford have any idea what they're doing with leather interiors.
Vee_Que
Old holden leather interiors hold up quite well when treated. No worse for wear than volvos or mercs.
AshDVS
The dont wear any better or worse than others, but they're bloody horrible looking - either super-bland or garishly tacky. The 'Coulson' leather interior that all the kids seem to wet themselves over is horrible.
The leather also seems to fairly easily separate from the foam cushions too and looks like it fits poorly as it ages.
Vee_Que
I guess.....

The new front bar came back from painting yesterday morning and I dropped off another RH skirt for them to paint too.
When I'm back again on Thursday, hopefully the skirt will have been painted and I'll fit them both when I have time.
I still have to fit a replacement steering wheel, shift knob and the RR door trim so might make a day of it (or at least a morning)
AshDVS
Just fitted a new leather trimmed shift knob/lever to the VE. Rediculously easy and seriously took about 3 mins. I used a genuine Holden one and it even came with instructions in the box!
Much nicer than the suspiciously sticky plastic one that was on there previously. :)

I dropped the VE series 2 rear seat base and the seat base out of my car off with a trimmer today. He's going to see if he can make the series 2 sedan cover/skin fit the wagon base cushion.
Fingers crossed. Then, I'll just need to work out the seat back - I should be able to get a new back skin/cover from the dealer if I really need to.
I also dropped another Rh sideskirt off for painting.
On top of that, I sold the two front seats on eBay and the buyer picked them up this afternoon.
AshDVS
RH sideskirt still isn't back. Grr.
On the plus side, the VE is getting it's first wash while I sit and have a coffee.
The VZ is sold, I just have to put standard springs and new shocks (it has short stroke shocks in it at the moment) back in it and finish off the RWC items.
It had new standard number plates back on it so my DVS plates can go on the V70.
I'm looking forward to my house not looking like a used car yard. :)
AshDVS
After it's first wash -
It still needs a bit of bodywork and a good detail but at least it's now actually clean on the outside.

Looks nice !
I'm amazed how you can find cars that have such filthy interiors :)
AshDVS
Good point.
I like to consider myself like an animal shelter for vehicles - I see the potential and they look friendly, they get a bath, a scrub and a good checkover and become part of the family. :)
AshDVS
Since I'm in the mood for commodore pimping, here's a couple more pics.
It'll look a heap better with the new front bar, dents knocked out of the rear doors, the RR quarter repaired and a good detail.
Philia_Bear
Needs more ls7 swap
AshDVS
A V8 one would be nice and as much as I'd like one, I really just dont need it.
Maybe next time.
Vee_Que
Yet again with the invisible damage that you repair ;) looked good before and looks good still!
Car yard with two cars out the front? I guess Ihave people making comments about my house with mine, my wife's, both parents and my brothers car all on the driveway lawns :s
Ben
Looks eminently lickable :>
