Sure that extra piston wasn't suck up there then, and more to the bloody point, if It was a woman, she wouldn't be inspecting the brown hole with the piston stuck in it!

Lots of issues on most of those cars are minor and not technically roadworthy issues. Oil leaks only if it is dropping on the ground within 5-10 minutes for instance. Mount installed the wrong way won't be rw until it wears. Etc

Vee_que, Your wrong, tyres older than ten years do not pass Victorian RWC or any tyres with side wall damage,, any broken suspension item or brakes not working as they should, 3 cars turned up with very little oil in them, when the oil is dripping on the floor for a RWC it will not pass , or rust that puts a whole in the floor pan is a RWC issue, and engine mounts fitted in the wrong position on a car is a issue, batterys not bolted down so back to it only one car would of passed the inspection for a RWC,

One car passed in the way it was put on the hoist. I understand V roads is cracking down on the club reg scene. With much understandable reason. Lots of cars are nasty. Not the majority.
But some are far worse than mine.

Also there are not many inspectors that will not touch a car before doing an inspection/RWC. Most will wipe/pressure wash the underside and if any oil drops with in 5mins or so. It's a fail/rectify.
I'm informed of that with every time I've gone In for reg.

Keep in mind I didn't see all of them and I'm not disagreeing on other issues like suspension. Low oil could also be burning oil. I bet your cars aren't perfect either ;)

My cars are better than most, because I chuck money at them, and make bugger all, but I see that as fun,money is no object, check out my cars for sale. I enjoy putting them back on the road, not profit

My car is somewhere between a mechanics car and someone with too much money to spend fixing cars. Only things I know aren't immediate issues are broken ;)

Also had the DIY people putting parts on wrong and back to front

It was good to finally meet you on Saturday Mark, but would have thought I had the longest list on the day with 17 items? I had It was an enjoyable morning meeting some new volvo heads.
