I dig
1989 Blue 245 "Swagin' Wagon"
The wheels look special that's for sure. Lots of dish. What are they? On adaptors?
When are you on your p plates? Probably better to wait for that for a start. And then think about turboing after you're legal too. Clun reg cars are allowed to be driven by p plates if DEAD STOCK turbo from the factory. Not like this car. Not worth the points off your license!
But for engines and turbo builds, they aren't hard to find. Just got to know the right parts to start with.

They are nemoto meshies 16x9 +0 on 25mm adapters.
Next year march I'll be on my p's, I want to start building the engine like rebuilding it and stuff that's why I want one but I'll wait till I see something good I guess. I was gonna risk it for the biscuit. :P @Vee_Que
Thanks. :) @slow

Sorry forgot to click post.
What happened to the 240 front spoiler? why the change to a 740 one?
- Edited
Cause my 240 one is in two bits haha and I'm still waiting on the 960 bit. @AshDVS
You need the lower lip? Of the 90-95 front bumper? I have a few spare.
Gotcha.
Ugly 740 spoiler > broken 240 spoiler.
How's your coilover progress going?

Well I'm not in need of one but if you've got a few laying around i'll take one. :) @Vee_Que
Yeah pretty much hahaha.
I''ve started one of the fronts but just been too lazy to get it fixed, I also am trying to think of a solution for the rear so I can have adjustable height. @AshDVS

Rear end is super easy. Adjustable perch and locator and make use of the upper seat. You can use a 5" spring here instead of a typical 2.5" coilover spring.
As I said in my email, let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help.

I don't know to mount my threaded sleeve to the bottom where the retainer mounts. @AshDVS
What spring kit did you get? Where from?
Just a Honda civic coilover kit, I'm only using it for the sleeves. @Vee_Que
You can buy just the sleeves on ebay if thats all you need.
Ah ok. I only knew of the ones of summits website. I knew people used the civic kit for 122s. Are you also having the struts shortened to keep correct travel?
I didn't actually look to be honest, which was dumb of me. The guy guiding me through it told me to get that kit so I got it. @Ex850R
I'd like to but don't want to spend too much on it, I've got saab 9-3 struts I'm going to be using in the front and Chevy s10 for the rear. @Vee_Que

I thought you need the saab struts when shortening the strut. Is Ash guiding you through?
awful hero has been guiding me he's in u.s. Ash gave me advice at the start but it was too expensive for me as I'm doing it mostly for looks right now. @Vee_Que
Ash is great for advice , you dont need to buy from him although supporting such a good bloke is helpful in our small market)

I stress this to everyone. I'm always happy to talk suspension whether there is a sale involved or not.Ex850R;43686 wroteAsh is great for advice , you dont need to buy from him although supporting such a good bloke is helpful in our small market)
We've built our niche based on service and really good product and application knowledge.
It's not just because I'm finicky about doing things the right way though.
We have to be able to warranty what we sell - As such, we won't sell you a shock that is too short, not suitable or whatever for your chosen spring or application, or even something we're just not confident in.
End user experience - I'm so happy when someone mentions how impressed they are with a suspension package we've sold.
I'd be horrified if someone got in a car that had a setup we'd recommended fitted and absolutely hated it or felt it rode or handled poorly.
Legal - In short, I don't want us to get sued if someone wraps themselves around a pole due to a poorly thought out or executed solution.
DIYing or building a one-off something for yourself is a whole different story, you're not building or fitting a commercially available product with expectations that come along with it..
If an enquiry comes in to us asking about springs and shocks, the first response will never include an invoice.
It's always responded to with 'What do you plan to do with the car?' 'Are you doing any motorsport work with it?' 'Do you drive it to and from work?' etc, etc.
Once we have a scope, we can recommend something from there.
Elijah knows I'm happy to explain or show him how things. Ultimately the decision about what hardware to use and how/where to use it are not mine to make. I can only suggest or recommend or share what I know.
