Gearshift knob

The auto gearshift knob on my gold 1996 960 is very worn and missing the wood finish.

Does anyone have one in good condition?

Same as the 850 of the era were they not? As in the updated dash etc I thought that was from the 850 as well.
If so I have one you can have for postage.
Just need to figure how to get off lever!?
Or send that as well!!

Looks like an 850, but the knob looks identical.

The method seems a bit crude, but the pics show what needs to be done.

Here are photos of the gearshifts in my two 960s.

The first is the one I'm wanting to replace from my gold 960 (Mar 1996) and you can see it has a tab that lifts out but I don't know what that's for.
The second is from my green 960 (Feb 1996) and the tab area is completely covered in "wood" grain.
