i have a 94 850 non turbo has the 2.5 20 v engine is auto and when I put my foot down she misses badly and nearly dies then when the revs get above 2500 3000 rpm its not missing. just wanting to know if its something simple like plugs leads dizzy cap or rotor.

Have you had any of the parts you mentioned replaced since you have owned it or know any history?
Do you have the warning orange light ( lambda or triangle ) on the dash on?
Sounds like ( i am no expert ) could be IAC ( idle air control ) valve may be dirty.
Another can pipe in and say if it could be and then you can have a go at cleaning it out if you are inclined to tinker.
Otherwise hang on till we get a few more ideas , then take it to someone who will do the checking and it will make it a quicker and cheaper excersize for you.

Whitebocks are sensitive to plugs. A cheap easy check.
Distributor cap, rotor button and plugs are my guesses.
They're surprisingly hard on distributor caps and rotor buttons too.
If you get new leads get the Volvo Bougicord ones , they are top stuff.
