Elk Hi There!!! I ve ordered a strut bar for my 1995 Volvo 850 GLT from Europe and tried to fit it but it does not fit at all. I was told that this strut bar is for left hand drive but i am not sure. Anyway...is there a way to use this strut bar?? <a href="http://s1294.photobucket.com/user/elk68/media/IMG_2283_zps1cf4a22a.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b615/elk68/IMG_2283_zps1cf4a22a.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_2283_zps1cf4a22a.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s1294.photobucket.com/user/elk68/media/IMG_2286_zpseb51305b.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b615/elk68/IMG_2286_zpseb51305b.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_2286_zpseb51305b.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s1294.photobucket.com/user/elk68/media/IMG_2284_zps6a0937df.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b615/elk68/IMG_2284_zps6a0937df.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_2284_zps6a0937df.jpg"/></a>
Rob Definitely for a LHD car. Brake reservoir will be in the road, unfortunately not much you can do apart from sell it to someone with a LHD car and buy a RHD one.
Ex850R Can't you turn it around and bolt it in front of the towers? If not , take it to an alloy fabricator and get some changes done.
Elk No i tried it but the brake fluid reservoir is still in the way. Well i reckon if i give it away so they can machine it or bend it that will be the price of a new original one........
Ex850R I can't see how it can be a Volvo one as a LHD is just the brake booster on other side in same spot? It would hit a LHD one as well . They a reputable seller? I would dispute it but cost for postage ...... They got you. Still one on eBay in Aus I think?
Rob @Elk http://ozvolvo.org/discussion/1819/ebay-strut-brace-for-850?new=1 Here is one of the bendy looking ones. I much prefer the straight DVS bar though....
