Dave Barton in the US is looking for an engine wiring harness from a 240 with a B230E (K-Jet) engine. This engine was only used in 240's in Australia for one year, 1985.
Condition doesn't matter as long as it's fairly intact, it's to copy so he can reproduce it using new materials. If anybody has anything please let me know, I can either pass your contact details on to him, or if somebody has one they could send it to me and I could send it on to him.
Any help is much appreciated.

Bump, nobody wrecking an '85?
Slowbrick
I was going to get one but the deal fell through. I'll keep an eye open for you.

I have one but I don't want to rip the harness out of it
I'll keep my eyes open though

I have one on what I remember is an 84 engine, could it be an "85"? I really don't know differences between them & don't remember the exact date of the car.
It is similar to my other 240's engine though, that's why I have it as a spare.
Is he making them just for Aussies or do other countries have the engine too?

Thought it was a B230f but might be an E....pretty sure it's '84 but it's definitely a B230 on kjet.

b230e continued for a few years in some countries that switched emissions later than us.

'84 is B23E (K-Jet), harness is very similar to a B230E, any differences would be minor, but he's specified one from a B230E.
You can easily tell a B230E apart from a B23E by the black rocker cover with raised oil filler neck, plastic backing on the timing cover, harmonic balancer, and 530 head.

Hmmmmm....I'll check, but I'm reasonably sure it's a 230...
Pig nosed thing...six panel tails...got it to wreck when it spun a bearing. Local mechanic told them the cost of fixing, they said sell it for what you can get.....
Angus242164
The long nose and 6 panel tail lights would mean '83-'85, so I guess that gives it a 33.3% chance of having the right engine!

I'm going to Voldat on Saturday and can get one but I don't how to identify them, If anyone can tell Me what they look like compared with a B23E one I can get one,

I have one its on an engine I removed 2 weeks ago out of an 85 240 with a manual gearbox
Angus242164
How much are you asking for it Mark? It needs to be cheap but doesn't need to be in usable condition, it's going to be a template to allow new ones to be made.

All the wiring looms I have come across are all crumbling...including my own. I am sure there is info on a guy in europe selling new looms...
It's a small place, ask kevin if he knows the bloke..
sorry i cannot help.
