142 doors and some other bits

I am after a pair of 142 doors, specifically from a '72/'73 model with 1/4 glasses and flush type door handles.

I am also after some interior bits including a pair of door trims and rear 1/4 trims, I am after the orange coloured trims the same as my 164 if i can find them, I am not even sure if they produced a 142 with that colour interior ? I may be interested in a different colour if i can find some in good shape.

I also need the stainless trims that run along the doors and rear 1/4 panels.

Do you have other 142 doors you can swap for my spare 72 doors? Need spares for main 142 and car needs to be enclosed. Trim I have and will work out against the 142. Interior I don't have but I think I have seen it in a 142 so may be available genuine repro?

@egads yeah, I have a pair of '70 doors, they have a little rust down low but have windows and handles and work fine.

Where would I look for repro?

I am in Yass in NSW.

http://www.gcp.se/ is where the genuine bits are. Repro but made from original Volvo moulds and stuff, should call them repro really.

Anyone know if 70 doors bolt up fine on a later car?

Can't be sure but I do recall Angus saying that there were slight differences in the early to late door fittingd from a closing perspective. I don't believe they were insurmountable, but just time consuming.

Angus seems to think they will fit fine. What are the doors like/colour/trim/handles/windows/$$$ etc. pics perhaps... keen as mustard.

I have had a look finally and am feeling like a massive fucking muppet. It is a 69 142 that I have spare. So not what you want. I can do the trim though. Sorry bud.

@egads ... So today didn't happen, ;)) i have however now measured up what i need.. i dont actually have the pieces to measure so these are approximate.

LH Door - 1190mm long
RH Door - 1190mm long LH Rear Guard - 1780mm long RH Rear Guard - 1780mm long

Do you know if the 142 in any trim level ever come with the trim along the top of the doors with the window rubber attached? my 164 has them... I would like a set of these??..

In saying that the one for the rhf door of my 164 is missing the rubber , so i would like to replace that also?

then I need the trim that goes along the edge of the bootlid and the 2 corner pieces down to the tail lights to suit the 72+ 164..

Wrong weekend, but I have looked. I have both rear guard trims, no door trims, No top of window trims in my spares or on my 142. What does the edge of boot lid stuff look like? This?

@egads That is a '75, i think they are all the same. Tail lights are different but.

The trims i am chasing are the 3 that go from the lh tail light up and across boot lid and back down the rh tail light.

I will definately take the rear guard trims. I have measured some more trims and have found that i can cut some of my sedan rear guard trims down to fit 142 doors. so i have them covered. I may even find some doors that still have the trims on them..... maybe.

will just have to work out how to get them..

Turbobricks courier system? I might be able to get them from Sydney and then up to Farmidale, and then onto Brisbane (Haven't worked that bit out completely yet... but I have an idea or 2)
