I know this isnt Volvo related exactly...
But does anyone have experience with new cams?
Im un-borking my turbo diesel Pajero, the old 2.5lt snapped a few rocker arms due to horrific cam wear.
(Turbo needs replacing too, TD04 12t perhaps... thats another story)
Ive done flat lash pad type cams, but this time Ive 'upgraded' to Roller Rockers and matching cam from a newer spec engine. (they STILL make the 4D56 30 years later!)
When I put a new cam in my 202, I lubed it up with engine assembly lube, it is sticky so it will protect the cam while oil pressure comes up on the initial run.
Roller rockers just need oil pressure and at good to go.
