The time has come to sell my 1 of 25 V70 R. I've accumulated too many cars and don't drive her much anymore.
This is a pampered, unmodified and honest example of these rare cars. A 2023 AOMC euro show category winner, the car presents beautifully with recent paintwork and correction. The "Nordkap" leather interior is in excellent condition with minimal wear throughout.
For the kilometres obsessed, it's spent its life in a low wear environment. With 285,600km on the clock, the previous owner lived regionally and put 200,000 highway kilometres on it over 10 years. He was an aircraft engineer, and drove it up and down the east coast of Australia between regional airports. In my year of ownership, I've put 15,000 on it, mostly between Melbourne and the Alpine Shire, and Ballarat.
The car has been serviced fastidiously over its life with an almost full log book and folder filled with receipts, as well as the original brochure. Recent work includes an AWD system service (AOC fluid, angle gear oil, diff oil) and power steering flush. The timing belt, water pump, both VVT hubs, PCV, camshaft and crankcase seals were changed 15,000km ago. Michelin Pilot Sport 5's were also fitted 15,000km ago. The transmission fluid has been changed twice in the last year, with the drain and fill method. Penrite oils/fluids have always been used throughout.
There are no error codes on the dash and the car drives beautifully. The 4C Active Chassis System works perfectly and comes with two brand new in box Genuine Volvo 4C active front shocks, ready to be installed when required. This V70 R has the genuine subwoofer mounted under the boot floor, a very rare accessory.
The front Brembo rotors are a little low, but still pull the car up hard. There is some oil sweatiness around the turbo, so I'm including brand new oil line and charge pipe gaskets, if required. The transmission shifts beautifully, though *occasionally* clunks downshifting to 1st when coming to a stop. I've previously fixed this with a software reset. The tailgate shocks need to be replaced.
I'm selling the car without a RWC and the registration is about to run out. I'm open to offers and would prefer the car to stay in the Volvo community.
