S80 V8 2008 digital speedo

I am using my sons S80 and cant seem to find the digital speedometer

I have looked through the manual and I dont think it even has a readout

Can anyone help

This is for the ?60 types, but it looks just like our 2010 S80 V8's instrument panel.

Seems like you can bring up the speed digitally this way.

The digital speedo as such doesn't appear in the 'speedo' window, but in the messages window of the tacho, and it's more part of the trip computer readout - hence is displayed as 'current speed'. This may take some faffing around to find the correct button combo. (Wife and I have had our S80 for 6 years, and we haven't worked out one-tenth of the functions yet....)

Agree it looks like our speedo but ours has NO option for "current speed" when I turn the dial on the left column.

I have fiddled with it for some time but it seems that I am stuck with reading the normal dial speedo.

This is surprising for a euro top end car like this which has many other features and not this simple item which can show your speed in an easy digital format.

Oh well might have to look at aftermarket I guess!

Sorry about the bum steer there. :(

One other option is using an aftermarket heads-up display which plugs into the OBD-2 connection.

Another is by fitting the Donkey Kong mono-dial dash display from a later model.
