I would jack it up and run the vehicle double checking its not a heat shield or exhaust rubbing some where before I drilled tech screws in my cat. It a catalyst so it will break up and go further down your exhaust.
If your sure its your cat for a home free fix remove it and punch the inside of the cat out with a long extension and a hammer.
3 bolts on the turbo and 1 clamp. Remove the front section of the exhaust and bash out the cat.
No fault codes no issues unless you need a emissions test
