Just wondering which place has the most mods for a C30 T5 R-Design in Australia. I'm sure it'll help alot of people out

Wondering this myself as i am aiming to do mine tax time, a local tuner in sa said $1350 with there own tune another said the same price with a celtic tune, but i am being told by others online to do a hilton tune. I am leaning more to someone doing this locally so it can be dynoed and all the parmeters checked,

Yeah go for it find the best locally I reckon. Mine had the polestar when I bought it and it goes pretty hard. Elevate has body mods for the R-Design but skirts are $500USD plus shipping so pretty steep

Hilton is reportedly very difficult nowadays.

Could be just some eople with specific needs ie,big mods.

You can buy and install your own via vDash , others do them.

Look up vdash alternative, a guy started his own tune service cos he went to use his original vdash tune files and options and had to pay.

when he originally had it it was all included.......

Other locals are Mark Richardson ( Volvo trained tech T/As VP Tuning) at Vodat in Moorabin

He has the good old Swedish father and son tuner and exhaust etc MTE and TME tunes , proven to be fantastic and safe.

The only local person I'd trust to tune my car would be Gabbi from penta performance. Hilton is great but is a bit overwhelmed so can take weeks to get back to people with tune revisions.

In order to load vdash tunes you need to crack the ECM and cem pins which vdash doesn't currently do for P1 models and they're tunes are fairly basic

Without starting another thread does anyone know if a xc60 intercooler is any big or better then the stock c30 intercooler

Seems OK for people in EU , I expect the initial price against power gain is prohibitive as you need the PPC unit shipped here and back.

BSR appear to have an Australian distributor. Shipping for the PPC return should be cheaper that way, and there is the option to buy the PPC outright.

FOUND the Victorian dealer for BSR. Sent them an email re my S40, here is their reply:

A To scan vehicle systems to check for fault codes is $160 and then suggestions can be made to look at any updates / upgrades for the software

Q Supply cut and code a spare key for the car (right nowI only have 1 but no metal key)

Q Supply and cut a replacement metal key to go into existing key fob

A Unfortunately you need to visit a Volvo dealer for key programming

Q This one is a maybe – Apply the BSR Stage 1 tuning upgrade to the car

A Stage 1 BSR Tune offer +40Hp upgrade (178Hp) and +31Nm torque (240Nm) this will cost $1,100 for us to carry out the tune. We will need the vehicle for 1 day

There's your answer on if they are good......So many places I contact can't even reply, why bother being in business cos that ain't business.....

Have you looked at the big names that have local reps or the likes of Laborde Motorsport who know hoe to crack computers and dyno tune, local shops all over , based in Perth.

Always reply, keen to help on stuff like Haldex upgrades too.

I did the VDASH (Stage 2) optimisation and was underwhelmed, I can't say I noticed any particular improvement .
