  • Hi! I'm now an original Polestar owner - no. 14 - and it's awesome

So I just picked up the number 14 of the original polestars - which was the polestar "pack" instead of full-blown ps but hey - its still a tiny bit of automotive history :)

so for a 2011 car, it's in stunning condition. the interior, with the exception of 2 minor things - is basically perfect. the exterior the same, along with a few tiny marks and unavoidable stone chips, which i might do something about.

first thing i did when i test drove it was to check the turning circle; i owned a 2005 s60 t5 (love that uneven cyclinder sound) awd previously and the radius was so bad that i ended up selling it because of it. but thankfully that was no longer an issue ?

its got 150k on it but you would never ever think so. it looks like it has less than half that. excellent service history too.

already got it booked in with voldat to do a once-over for any preventative stuff, and to replace the rear shocks which are apparently leaking ?

but man this thing is a riot. that heico exhaust sounds amazing without being obnoxious. now its on to surprise ze germans ;)

Congratulations.

Heico was the supplier of choice for first P*s.

Think it's fun?

Get a tune....

I've got a Heico https://www.heicosportiv.de/en/products/v60/155/engine-technology

And a signed engine cover by the visiting Heico engineer.

For sale.

I used a TDI TUNING BOX on my V60T6, man, epic.

Drove a 2014 P* V60 and while it made noises I liked I felt it needed a racetrack, my old v60 was just mental around town....

    thanks!

im not sure if getting a tune would be the first thing i'd do... given the handling when going full pelkt, i think i would do something about that before i gave it even more power :D

having said that, how much did that tune do for you? did you dyno? did it affect your economy either way?

    The tdi box gives enough.

Not bothered with dyno as it's how the car performs on the road that matters.

It's actually quite enough for city driving, instant power like you get addicted too.

Had no care about fuel usage. It's not why you drive these cars.......

But maybe 11.7/100 instead of low 10s or 9s. Around town.

That's with TDI set on 7. You can run it on 4 or whatever setting you like but I think, why?

Needs bigger rear sway bar , stiffen up the back end and probably soften the front as its primarily a FWD and pushes the front terribly....

I didn't see any difference in my regular V60T6 R-Design suspension and a Polestar V60 I had a loan of in regards to pushing the front.

Needs a good suspension guru to tune it proper.

    @AshDVS is your guy.
