Haha that is my one, I'm sure my wife would love to get rid of it but that isn't going to happen.

It isn't actually from a 242. I think it is from a 122 and that era. The accessory for a 242 would look like the below.

i have one of the original tanks that fits in the well in the drivers side opposite the vertically stored spare wheel! Not sure that it is specific to 242GT although it did come in a heap of spares with one of my 242GTs

available to anyone making a fair and reasonable offer!!

Given that I now have photographs of my fuel tank it is for sale to genuine OZVOLVO forum members.

Sending a used fuel container (=fuel tank) overseas by plane wouldnt be viewed as acceptable.

It is possible - There are protocols in place to ensure all risks are reduced !! A total clean and packaging g process is required , cannot be any residual vapours/ gases

Yeah that's a good point actually, the logistics of sending a fuel can internationally would be challenging.
