140 3.91 or 3.73 diff

I'm looking for a 3.91 diff for a 1 series, a 3.73 would also be fine. Located in Vic, not in a massive hurry to get one. It's going into a 1970 145 but any 73 or older diff should be OK.

I have one in Melbourne I think, but I never drove the 74 145 it came out of. Removed about 15 years ago. Hope to be over towards the end of the month and can take a look then.

I know that 140's did came with a 3.9:1 rear ratio, but have not heard of a 3.73:1 from factory fitted to a 140 series. Usually in 140's they are either 4.1:1 or 4.3:1, I suspect that the 3.9:1 ratio may have been fitted to those with an auto box.

If you are looking for a 3.73:1 final drive, best to get one from a 164. As far as I know, they should interchange readily.

164 had 3.54 auto and 3.73 manual.
