  • [QLD] 240 Rear Callipers

Hey all, I have just got my 81 240 running well enough on tin webers enough to take it for a drive around the block. It seemed to pull pretty well and was decently peppy. That was until i got back home and realised the rear brake calliper was seized and was smoking by the time i got back. So if anyone has any brake callipers wouldn't mind buying a whole set if you don't want to split them that would be amazing.

Thanks.

Nick

its just as easy (and cheaper) to pull the calipers apart, clean out the rust, replace the seals and have working brakes again

Can do then, Ill see how a wire brush on a drill goes with new seals then

You can also fit later alloy p80 calipers relatively easily

Drill out mounting holes to suit 240 bolts and then slightly bend the hardline. It's pretty easy

It’s so handy that the same rears can pretty much be used all the way back to the start of the 140s. Bit of faffing to do if you have the rare girling rear on some 140s and 240s to switch to ATE style ones, can’t recall exact details though
