In regular contact with Duncan and Mark, fishing for anything that may be out there in these parts. No rush, the project in mind is a year away.

A T5 swap is not the goal, looking for a bolt in solution with factory components that requires little engineering effort to install, and something an engineer will glance at and move on.

Not after hacking the bejeezus out of the CD009s bellhousing they dont :(

The CD009/CD00A is an option and has been researched. The main thing that hurts a little is a brand new $3500 gearbox and attacking the input shaft and above mentioned bell housing with an angle grinder. Then there is the 960 auto bell housing, adapter plate, clutch slave (which is actually a massive improvement), clutch plate with the different splines and so on.

It would be 5k done, roughly. Would be awesome, though an M90 would be simplier if there is one around.

The Americans bought every available M90 from Swede & euro dismantlers years ago.

So thin on the ground, but they do come up occasionally.

Don't forget the 740 came into Australia with a Volvo M46 with overdrive 5th so that’s an option too.

unfortunately the m46 is redblock only, will not fit a whiteblock.

i have a spare m46 on the shelf for 'one day'. shame it will not fit.

M90s were once commonly found in EU wrecking yard's lists 7 years ago, not so now.

IF you have an AW30-40 bellhousing, perhaps one of these options may work -
